The concept behind the exhibition is based on a presentation at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, which placed works by Vivian Greven in dialogue with works from the 1960s and 1970s by Lambert Maria Wintersberger. Though separated by a 44-year age gap, both artists demonstrate a timeless sensitivity to the idealisation and vulnerability of the body.
Lambert Maria Wintersberger (DE 1941–2013) is represented in numerous museum collections, including the Kunstmuseum Bonn, the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, the Sprengel Museum Hannover, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, the Stedelijk Museum Gent, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, the Centraal Museum Utrecht, the Städel Museum Frankfurt and the Nationalgalerie Berlin.
Vivian Greven (DE 1985) is known for her work through various international exhibitions. Vivian Greven is currently exhibiting works at ‘ibid’, Kunsthalle Nürnberg, and in the current collection presentation at Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, and will hold her first institutional solo exhibition at the Yi Museum in Hangzhou, China, in 2027. Recent solo exhibitions have been held at the Paula Modersohn Becker Museum in Bremen and the Neue Galerie Gladbeck.

Das Konzept der Ausstellung gründet auf einer Präsentation im Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, das Werke von Vivian Greven mit Werken der 1960er und 1970er Jahre von Lambert Maria Wintersberger in Dialog setzte. 44 Jahre Altersunterschied trennen die zwei Künstler und doch zeigen Beide eine zeitlose Sensibilität für Idealisierung und Verletzlichkeit des Körpers.
Lambert Maria Wintersberger (DE1941-2013) ist in zahlreichen Museumssammlungen vertreten wie Kunstmuseum Bonn, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Sprengel Museum Hannover, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Stedelijk Museum Gent, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sidney, Centraal Museum Utrecht, Städelmuseum Frankfurt oder der Nationalgalerie Berlin.
Vivian Greven (DE 1985) ist durch zahlreiche internationale Ausstellungen bekannt. Aktuell zeigt Vivian Greven Werke in „ibid“, Kunsthalle Nürnberg, der aktuellen Sammlungspräsentation Kunstpalast Düsseldorf und wird 2027 ihre erste institutionelle Einzelausstellung im Yi Museum, Hangzhou China zeigen.
